Business Applications – Technical Support Engineers MICROSOFT ROMANIA

The Global Technical Support Centre (GTSC) located in Bucharest, provides high technical service

and support for Microsoft’s European Enterprise and Development customers. The center is part of

Microsoft Global Support Operations and is staffed by highly skilled technical specialists in enterprise

Platforms, Business and Developer Applications.

We are currently recruiting for Business Applications – Technical Support Engineers. Junior and

Senior Specialists, depending on the level of technical expertise and experience, are invited to apply.

Contract – for 1 year

Start date: ASAP

JOB PROFILE

· Using broad and in-depth product knowledge provide and facilitate the responsive delivery of

technical solutions and information to major customers;

· Provide solutions to complex problems that satisfy our German OR French speaking

customer base. This involves dealing with difficult situations including complaint handling,

sensitive customers and mission critical support;

· Build customer and partner loyalty through customer orientation, responsiveness and

accountability;

· Work in an international environment and collaborate with your team to provide high-level

support;

REQUIREMENTS:

We are searching suitable candidates for one of the following technologies:

Exchange:

· Design, administration and/or support experience with Microsoft Exchange (5.5, 2000, 2003

or 2007)

· Knowledge of Microsoft Exchange concepts like Mailbox Databases, Mail Routing, Virtual

Servers, Address Books and Lists, Recipient Update Services, performance tuning and

hardware design, Public Folders, migrations and interop between different Exchange

versions, clustering, messaging protocols

· Knowledge of Active Directory and TCP/IP Networking

· Familiar with Exchange Anti-Spam, Anti-Virus, Backup solutions

· Familiar with troubleshooting tools like ExBPA, Perfmon, Network tracing

SharePoint:

Depending on your level of seniority at least two of following criteria are mandatory:

· Knowledge of the HTTP/HTML, Scripting with VB, Java

· Web Server knowledge, IIS6 or other Web Applications

· Networking knowledge (TCP/IP, Infrastructure)

· Operating system (Windows 2000, XP, 2003; NLB, DNS, Networking, Protocols, Domain

– MCSE 2000/2003)

Also are considered a plus:

· Previous experience in Windows SharePoint Services and Microsoft SharePoint Portal

Server

· Database Know how ( MS SQL2000 / SQL2005; MSDE, WMSDE, SQL Expression; SQL

Embedded)

· Programming skills e.g. C#; ASP.NET

MS Project:

The ideal candidate will be required to have a Technical Degree or adequate practical

background (~2 years) on the following Technologies:

· Knowledge of the HTTP/HTML, Scripting with VB, Java

Web Server knowledge, IIS or other Web Applications

· Networking knowledge (TCP/IP, Infrastructure)

· Operating system (Windows XP, 2003; NLB, DNS, Networking, Protocols, Domain –

MCSE2000/2003)

· Project Management Theory

· Database know how (MS SQL2000/2005; Analysis Services 2000/2005; WMSDE, SQL

Expression; SQL Embedded)

· Project Professional/Standard 2003/2007, Project Server 2003/2007, Project Portfolio

Server 2007

· Window SharePoint Services and Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007

Microsoft Office Communication Server and Client:

· Windows Server 2000/2003/2008

· Microsoft Communication Server products (Live Communication Server/Office

Communication Server) desired

· Active Directory/networking desired

· SQL knowledge

· VoIP knowledge desired

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

· Strong working knowledge of English and German or French (verbal and written) it’s a

must;

· Communication skills in international environment;

· Willingness to improve technical skills and language skills ;

· Customer-oriented attitude

· Strong problem solving skills.
