For the Technical Support Centre Romania, Microsoft is looking for a Content Support Engineer, located in Bucharest. The centre will provide advanced technical services and support for Microsoft’s customers across Europe.
Start Date: April 2009
Period: 1 year contract
JOB PROFILE
- Responsible for delivering support for Microsoft Forum community users across Europe (specially German, French or Russian or Spanish speaking users). The primary focus will be ensuring that all Microsoft customers are very satisfied with the effectiveness and efficiency of the forum support they receive.
- Deliver timely and high quality forumØ responses using knowledge of the Microsoft developer products.
- Develop a relationship with the technical peers (Product Group, DPE, Microsoft Valued Professionals and other influencers) for the technology supported and related technologies in order to ensure improved collaboration and satisfaction in support.
- Effectively search internal Knowledge Management Systems for solutions
- Continuous learning and remain current in relevant productØ offerings necessary for assignment. It may include significant emphasis on multi-product and/or cross-platform support.
- Capability to search throughØ multiple forums to determine threads/issues that have been reopened, need retiring, require escalation, that are new and those needing to be assigned
- Assist MSFT Forum Program Manager in developing forum business strategies with all groups involved

A. General Core:
The ideal candidate will be required to have a Technical Degree or adequate practical background (+3 years) on the following technologies:
Working knowledge ofØ Server Software – Windows 2000/2003, Exchange Server 2003/2007 (2 out of 4)
Ø Windows Client : XP / Vista / Windows 7 / Internet Explorer
SharePointØ 2007 Server Portal
B. Developer Support Professional:
WorkingØ knowledge of programming and troubleshooting (+2 years) in at least 2 out of 4 of these technologies: Windows 2000/2003, Windows XP, Windows Vista, Exchange Server 2003/2007
1 year of technical support experience in WindowsØ 2000/2003, Windows XP, Windows Vista, Exchange Server 2003/2007
Knowledge of: Client Development, Visual C++, Visual C#, Visual Studio, ASP.Net
Ø Microsoft Certified Application Developers (MCADs) would be an advantage
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
- Excellent demonstrated customer service skills
- Demonstrates forum management, thread/issues coordinationØ and escalation
- Strong working knowledge of English and German or French orØ Russian or Spanish (written) it’s a must;
- Written skills in foreign language (German or French or Russian or Spanish) are very important
- ProvenØ technical writing skills
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment

- Communication skills in international environment;
