Financial assistant
in Directorate Planning and Budgeting
- 3-year contract -
Directorate Planning and Budgeting has twelve staff and is responsible for budget production and implementation. Main dutiesAssisting with all work arising in the directorate, especially - supporting budget-production procedures
- helping to produce documents
- independently producing statistics, tables and graphics
- preliminary analysis of budget requests; drafting reports and minutes of meetings
- database maintenance
- deputising for other team members
The successful candidate will have - at least 3 years' experience in administrative support work
- very good knowledge of standard IT programs (e.g. MS-Office and Lotus Notes), and will enjoy learning and using new software
He or she should also- be a team player capable of working on own responsibility within a set framework
- work in a precise, careful and well-structured way
- have excellent communication skills
- adopt a proactive approach to the daily challenges arising
- have a good head for figures
- deal sensitively with confidential data.
Minimum qualificationsCompleted secondary education or – in exceptional cases – equivalent professional experience. Working knowledge of the EPO's official languages. The successful candidate(s) will be selected on the basis of qualifications, supplemented as appropriate by interviews and/or tests.
